founded Capoeira Filhos da Bahia in Salvador, Bahia BRAZIL in 1983. 10 years later, Mestre Val (Edval Santos) moved to Australia as the Head of the Capoeira Filhos da Bahia - International Group.

Mestre Val has more than 34 years of training & dedication to Capoeira. An inspired Martial Artist, his skill is matched by few. For 29 years, he has travelled to over 57 Countries around the World to perform & teach Capoeira.

This International Family network is a strong foundation for CFdB, supporting the life of CFdB from it's past roots to it's future growth.

Mestre Val is the Founder & Head of Capoeira Filhos da Bahia. CFdB began in partnership with his Master: Mestre Alfredo &
his Brothers: Contra-Mestres Nei & Dinho.

Today, CFdB enjoys partnerships with brother schools ALL AROUND THE WORLD, as Capoeira continues to evolve & spread throughout the Globe.
